Indefinable

Exams are finally over & the results are out! I nearly cried while receiving my grades. Haha! Some were too good to be true!

As I was receiving my exam results, my heart was overflowing with gratitude! To be honest, there were certain subjects that I didn’t review for as much. By His grace, I still managed to pass & get excellent grades!

During that busy, almost sleepless week, I was claiming Psalm 37:4.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

And wow! I was able to prove the reality and the power of this verse! Thank you, God!!!

PS. I hope my card grades are high too. Heehee!

Its exam week for us now. I’m really grateful for the one week off that we got from school last week. It really helped me relax in terms of reviewing for our tests. Haha! But the typhoon/rain/storm/whatever you call it, was something! To those who were directly hit, hang in there, God’s working behind the scenes. I’m praying for ya’ll! :)

Anyways, I visited my brother’s school today. His classmates certainly know how to cause a ruckus! Not the bad type of ruckus. Haha. As I went inside their humble learning environment, his friends (the boys in particular) started making a fuss. I later found out that they found me pretty hence the kaguluhan that they were causing at the back. How’s THAT for a compliment? Haha!

Now I wouldn’t share that for no particular reason. Here’s my point: That cute little incident (they were all younger than me, btw!) caused me to reflect on a verse I read a few days back.

“The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.” (1 Corinthians 15:41)

Nowadays there’s just so much hate, jealousy and envy spreading about! Once you have any of the said three, they lead to a whole lot of other sins such as gossiping, slander, etc!

I myself, being a girl, experience these things so I was very encouraged upon reading this verse. Basically, what God impressed in my heart was that there is no need (at all!) for us to compare ourselves with others. We all have our own set of unique gifts, quirks, talents, features and so on.

So what if the people from your environment don’t notice it? Be confident and embrace who you are! In God’s time, you will shine too. xx :)

Just the other day, I had a HUGE realization. You see, I’m someone who often gets lost in her own thought. I like to dig deep and really meditate on things. Sometimes, it can be beneficial, depending on what I think deep about. Heehee. :)

I realized that I can get really, really, reaaally hard on myself. I focus too much on my failures and lack of accomplishments that I forget to see the good side and the blessing of being me. Hence, the never ending roller coaster ride of emotions.

I felt that this was worth posting here since I know that I’m not the only girl who feels this way about herself. Here’s the good part though!

I consulted the Bible and what God says regarding failure of not meeting your own standards in life. And hey, it really helps to have your own quick devo book! I have one that’s arranged according to different topics with a list of Bible verses following them. It really helps if you’re impatient (like me!) and want answers immediately.

I stumbled across Galatians 6:9 which says: “Let us not be weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

As I was reading this, I felt God impress in my heart that it’s okay to fail. Its okay to not be perfect. Its okay to not meet the standards. But that should not stop you from trying, right?

“Let us not be weary in doing good…” Even if you fail (and we all know, that those times will certainly come), get back up and press on. When you feel like, you can’t do it anymore. Go to God! His strength and love is more than enough to sustain you!

“…for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Notice how this part is conditional? IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP. Press on! Keep at it! There’s a reward waiting for you on the other side… if you do not give up!

Hope this encourages you as it encouraged me! xx
